Show Me - How you would clean the windscreen using the washer wipers.

 

Switch the ignition on, operate the control to wash and wipe the windscreen.  

 

Note:  You should not start the engine.

 

 

Show Me - How you would set the demister controls to clear both front and rear screens effectively.

 

Press the button marked 'MAX' to automatically set the heater, direction and fan speed to clear both windows. Once the windows are clear re-press the button to switch them off.

 

Note:  You should not start the engine.

 

 

Show Me – How you would switch on the rear fog light(s) and explain when       you would use it/them (there is no need to exit the vehicle or start the       engine).

 

Turn on the ignition and the dipped headlights. Operate the rear fog light switch and check that the appropriate warning light is on.  Explain that the use of the lights is governed by law and is restricted to very poor visibility of less than 100 metres.

 

 

Show Me – How you switch your headlights from dipped to main beam and explain how you would know the main beam is on whilst inside the car.

 

Switch on the ignition and then the dipped headlights, then turn on the main beam and check that the main beam warning light on the dashboard instrument panel is lit (illuminated with a bright blue light).

How to clean the windscreen...

 

Use the control (as shown below) press it in for a few seconds until the water starts to squirt onto the windscreen).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Setting the demisters...

 

Once you have turned on the ignition, press the button marked 'MAX' (as shown below).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

TIPS:

Switching on the rear fog lights...

 

Firstly twist the switch  to the headlight setting. and then press the REAR fog light button (as below).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You should then see the symbol illuminated on the dashboard (see below).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Turning on the main beam...

 

Turn on the headlights (as per the previous tip) then switch on the main beam by pulling the indicator stick towards you twice. You should see the blue symbol illuminated on the dashboard (see below).
